What It Is

This is a 200-metre spool of boundary wire for Robomow robotic lawn mowers. It defines the mowing perimeter and guides the robot back to its charging station.

Fitment & Compatibility

Check your model: This is genuine Robomow cable, designed for all Robomow robotic mowers (e.g., RS, RC, RL, RX series). It is not compatible with other brands like Husqvarna or Worx.
Measure your lawn: 200 metres covers up to approximately 1,200–1,500 m² of lawn, depending on layout complexity (more corners/obstacles use more wire). Measure your perimeter with string first.
OEM vs aftermarket: This is original Robomow stock. Aftermarket cables are cheaper but may have thinner insulation or different resistance, which can cause signal issues. Stick with OEM for reliable performance.
Connector type: The cable uses standard Robomow connectors. If your mower has a different connector (older models), you may need a splice kit or adapter.

Key Things to Know

  • Installation difficulty: Moderate. You’ll need to bury the cable (1–2 cm deep) or peg it down. A wire-laying tool helps, but you can do it manually with a spade or edger.
  • Weather resistance: The green PVC jacket is UV-stabilized and rated for outdoor use. It holds up well in sun and rain, but avoid sharp stones or roots that could nick it.
  • Splicing: If you cut the cable or need to extend it, use a waterproof splice connector (sold separately). Twisting wires together will cause signal loss and mower errors.
  • Storage: The spool is 19 x 19 x 7.5 cm. Unroll carefully to avoid kinks—kinked wire can break under tension or cause false boundary readings.

Should You Buy It

Buy this if you own a Robomow and need to replace old, broken boundary wire or install a new perimeter for a lawn up to about 1,500 m². It’s the correct OEM part, so you avoid compatibility headaches. For smaller lawns or budgets, a shorter aftermarket cable might work, but this spool gives you room for error and future adjustments.
