What It Is

Lucas Oil is a high-viscosity, petroleum-based oil additive and fuel treatment designed for small engines in lawn mowers, tractors, and other outdoor power equipment. It’s used to reduce wear, lower operating temperatures, and improve performance in both 4-stroke and 2-stroke engines.

Fitment & Compatibility

• Engine type: Works with most gasoline-powered lawn mower engines (Briggs & Stratton, Kohler, Honda, Kawasaki, etc.). Not for diesel or electric.
• Application: Add to engine oil (crankcase) at a 1:1 ratio with existing oil (e.g., 20 oz Lucas to 20 oz oil) or use as a fuel stabilizer (1 oz per gallon of gas).
• Check before buying: Verify your engine’s oil capacity (typically 15–20 oz for push mowers, 48–64 oz for riders). Do not exceed the recommended ratio—overfilling can cause foaming or seal damage.
• OEM vs aftermarket: No direct OEM replacement; it’s an additive, not a standalone oil. Compatible with all brands.
