This is a pre-mixed, semi-synthetic 2-stroke engine oil blended at a 50:1 fuel-to-oil ratio with fuel stabilizer. It’s designed for air-cooled, 2-cycle engines in Husqvarna chainsaws, trimmers, blowers, and other handheld outdoor power equipment, as well as compatible third-party brands.
Fitment & Compatibility
- Mixing ratio: 50:1 (2.6 oz oil per 1 gallon of unleaded gasoline). Do not use in engines requiring 40:1 or other ratios unless explicitly stated in your manual.
- Engine type: Only for air-cooled, 2-cycle (2-stroke) engines. Not for 4-stroke engines, outboard motors, or water-cooled engines.
- Brand compatibility: Works with any brand (Echo, Stihl, Ryobi, etc.) that specifies 50:1 mix. Avoid in older equipment that may require richer ratios (e.g., 32:1) unless the manufacturer has updated guidance.
- Volume: 12.8 fl oz per bottle; 6-pack total. Each bottle treats 1 gallon of fuel. No additional stabilizer needed.
- OEM vs aftermarket: This is Husqvarna OEM oil. No measurement or model-specific fitment—just confirm your equipment’s required ratio.
Key Things to Know
- Low smoke formula: Reduces visible exhaust smoke compared to standard 2-stroke oils, but still produces some smoke during warm-up.
- Fuel stabilized: Contains stabilizer to keep mixed fuel fresh for up to 30 days. For longer storage, drain the tank or add extra stabilizer.
- Installation difficulty: Trivial—just pour into a clean gas can, add 1 gallon of fresh unleaded (max 10% ethanol), and shake. No tools required.
- Common gotcha: Do not mix with other oils or ratios. If your engine calls for 40:1, do not use this oil. Also, never store mixed fuel longer than 30 days without a dedicated stabilizer.
Should You Buy It
Buy this if you own multiple 50:1 2-cycle tools (Husqvarna or other brands) and want a convenient, pre-measured, low-smoke oil that also stabilizes fuel for short-term storage. It’s a solid value for the pack price, but skip it if your equipment requires a different mix ratio or if you need a long-term storage stabilizer.
