What It Is

The Yooreal Digital Small Engine Tachometer Hour Meter tracks engine runtime (resettable) and measures RPM via a spark plug wire sensor. It’s designed for small engines on lawn mowers, generators, chainsaws, outboard motors, snowblowers, jet skis, and dirt bikes.

Fitment & Compatibility

• Spark plug wire diameter: Works with wires 5–8mm thick. Measure your spark plug wire before buying—thicker or shielded wires may not get a reliable signal.
• Engine types: Fits any gas engine with a spark plug wire (single cylinder, 2-stroke or 4-stroke). Not for diesel or battery-powered equipment.
• Mounting: Adhesive-backed bracket attaches to any clean, flat surface. Avoid mounting near extreme heat (exhaust manifold) or vibration-prone areas.
• Battery: Uses a replaceable CR2032 (included). No hardwiring needed—unit is self-powered.

Key Things to Know

• Installation: Wrap the sensor wire around the spark plug wire 3–4 turns (not too tight). No tools required, but routing the sensor wire neatly prevents snagging.
• Accuracy: RPM reading can be off by ±100 RPM on some engines. Use it as a reference, not a precision tool.
• Water resistance: Not fully waterproof. Keep the display under a cover or in a dry spot if exposed to rain or washdowns.
• Resettable hours: The hour counter can be zeroed out (useful for tracking service intervals). The total lifetime hours are not resettable.
