What It Is

This is a genuine Toro 17.35-inch stamped steel deck blade (OEM part number 131-7111) designed for select Toro TimeCutter, Titan, and Super Recycler zero-turn and walk-behind mowers. It’s a straight replacement blade for cutting grass on residential or commercial turf.

Fitment & Compatibility

Before buying, confirm:

  • Deck size: Must be exactly 17.35 inches long (measured from center hole to tip). Not for 16-inch or 18-inch decks.
  • Model series: Fits Toro TimeCutter (2019+ 42-inch decks), Titan (2018+ 42-inch decks), and Super Recycler (22-inch walk-behinds). Check your model number against Toro’s official fitment list.
  • OEM vs aftermarket: This is a genuine Toro part. Aftermarket blades may differ in thickness or balance.
  • Center hole: 5/8-inch round hole with two alignment notches. Measure your current blade’s hole pattern to confirm.
  • Blade type: It’s a “mulching” blade (curved wings). Do not use for bagging or side-discharge unless your deck is designed for it.

Key Things to Know

  • Quality: Toro OEM blades are heat-treated and balanced. Expect 25–50 hours of cutting life before dulling, depending on debris.
  • Installation: Easy with a socket wrench. Torque the center bolt to 70–90 ft-lbs. Use a blade removal tool or block the blade to prevent spinning.
  • Common gotcha: The blade is directional. The curved edge must face upward toward the deck. Installing upside down will cause poor cut and vibration.
  • Sharpening: Can be sharpened, but replacement is cheaper. Never sharpen more than 1/8 inch off the edge.

Should You Buy It

If you own a compatible Toro mower and need a factory-spec blade that fits without guesswork, this is a solid, reliable choice. It’s priced fairly for OEM quality and easy to install yourself. Skip it if you need a bagging or lift blade, or if your deck is not on Toro’s fitment list.
