The Runleader HM005L is a digital hour meter and tachometer that tracks engine runtime and real-time RPM. Designed for small engines on ZTR mowers, tractors, generators, outboards, chainsaws, marine engines, and snowblowers, it helps schedule maintenance and monitor engine load.

Fitment & Compatibility

• Engine type: Works on any 1- or 2-cylinder gasoline engine with a spark plug wire (including most lawn mowers, tractors, and generators). Not for diesel engines or engines without a spark plug wire.
• Power source: Runs on internal lithium battery (non-replaceable, rated for 5+ years). No external wiring needed.
• Mounting: Snap-in design fits a standard 1.125" (28.5mm) diameter hole. Check your panel or dash has this cutout; if not, you’ll need to drill it.
• Wire wrap: The RPM pickup wire wraps around the spark plug wire. Works best if the plug wire is accessible and not shielded.
• Compatibility note: May not read RPM accurately on engines with resistor-type spark plugs or capacitive discharge ignitions (common on some older outboards or chainsaws). Test before permanent mount.
