This is a set of four deck wheels and mounting bolts designed to replace worn-out anti-scalp wheels on Bad Boy zero-turn mowers. They keep the mower deck from digging into turf during turns or on uneven ground.
Fitment & Compatibility
Before buying, confirm your mower deck is 48", 54", or 60" Bad Boy model from the 2000s–2010s (e.g., ZT, Outlaw, Mow Pro). These wheels replace OEM part numbers 018-0010-00, 022-1000-00, and 022-5234-98. Measure the original wheel diameter—these are about 4 inches. The included bolts are 5/16" x 1.5" grade 5. Check that your deck bracket hole spacing matches (roughly 2.5 inches center-to-center). Does not fit Bad Boy XP or newer models with larger 6-inch wheels.
Key Things to Buy
- Quality vs. OEM: These are aftermarket, not Bad Boy factory parts. Material is solid plastic with steel bearings, but may wear faster than OEM on rough terrain.
- Installation: Easy—remove old bolt, slide on new wheel, tighten nut. Use a socket wrench; no special tools needed. Takes about 10 minutes for all four.
- Common Gotcha: Bolts may be slightly too long for some decks. If they bottom out, add a flat washer or trim the bolt with a hacksaw. Also, check that the bearings are pre-greased; some batches arrive dry.
- Price vs. Value: At $22.99 for four wheels plus hardware, this is significantly cheaper than buying OEM singles. Expect 2–3 seasons of normal residential use.
Should You Buy It
Buy this set if you own an older Bad Boy zero-turn with worn or missing deck wheels and want a budget-friendly, easy-to-install fix. Skip it if you need exact OEM fit for a newer model or mow commercially on very abrasive surfaces—OEM wheels will last longer.
