What It Is

This set of three 54-inch high-lift mower blades (replaces OEM part numbers 187254 and 187256) is designed for Husqvarna zero-turn mowers. The high-lift design increases airflow, improving grass discharge and bagging performance, especially in tall or wet grass.

Fitment & Compatibility

Before buying, confirm your mower deck measures exactly 54 inches (center blade to outer blade tip). These blades fit Husqvarna models with 54-inch fabricated or stamped decks, such as the Z254, Z5426, Z5627, and some Rancher series. They are aftermarket replacements for OEM Husqvarna blades 187254 (center) and 187256 (outer). Check your deck’s spindle hole pattern—these use a standard 5-point star center hole with a 1-inch diameter. Measure your existing blade length (center hole to tip) to match 18.25 inches for outer blades and 18.75 inches for the center blade. Not compatible with 48-inch or 60-inch decks.

Key Things to Know

  • Installation: Moderate difficulty. You’ll need a torque wrench (spec: 70–90 ft-lbs) and a blade removal tool or block of wood to prevent spinning. Always lift the deck and disconnect the spark plug first.
  • Quality: Made in the USA from heat-treated steel. Thicker than some OEM blades, which improves durability but may slightly reduce lift on lower horsepower engines (under 22 HP).
  • Gotcha: High-lift blades increase suction, which can strain the engine in very heavy grass—avoid scalping or mowing wet grass at full speed.
  • Balance: Each blade is individually balanced, but you should still check balance after installation to prevent vibration and spindle wear.

Should You Buy It

Buy these if you mow tall, thick, or damp grass on a 54-inch Husqvarna zero-turn and want better bagging or side discharge. They’re a solid upgrade over standard blades for performance, but avoid them if your deck is smaller than 54 inches or you need low-lift blades for dry, sandy conditions.
