What It Is

This is a pair of genuine OEM Land Pride replacement blades (part number 820-170C) designed for finishing mowers and zero-turn mowers. These are high-lift, mulching-style blades intended for clean cuts on turf, fine grass, and manicured lawns.

Fitment & Compatibility

  • Check deck width: These blades are 17 inches long with a 1-inch center hole and a 0.5-inch offset. Measure your existing blade length and hole diameter before ordering.
  • Verified Land Pride models: Fits FDR2584, FDR2590, FDR25120, ZT72, ZT84, and ZT90 finishing/rear-discharge decks. Not for side-discharge or rough-cut decks.
  • OEM vs aftermarket: This is a genuine Land Pride part, not a generic. If you have a non-Land Pride mower, these will not fit without modification (not recommended).
  • Cross-check: Confirm your model number on Land Pride’s site or your owner’s manual. The 820-170C is not interchangeable with 820-170B (different offset).

Key Things to Know

  • Quality: Made from heat-treated boron steel for durability. Edge stays sharp longer than economy blades.
  • Installation difficulty: Moderate. You’ll need a torque wrench and a blade removal tool. Torque bolts to 70-90 ft-lbs (check your manual). Use thread locker if bolts are dry.
  • Common gotcha: These are high-lift blades – they create strong airflow for bagging or discharge. Not ideal for mulching in wet, heavy grass (clogs faster).
  • Balance: Factory-balanced, but check after sharpening. Unbalanced blades cause vibration and spindle wear.

Should You Buy It

Yes, if you own a compatible Land Pride finishing mower and want OEM-grade performance and longevity. The price is steep for a pair, but the fit is guaranteed, the steel is premium, and you’ll avoid the trial-and-error of generic blades. Skip if you have a different brand or a rough-cut deck – those need different blade geometry.
