• Build quality: Heavy-gauge steel with a powder coat finish. Holds up well to repeated use, but avoid scraping on rough pavement – the cutting edge is replaceable (Kolpin part 31-0053).
• Common gotcha: The blade does not include a trip spring mechanism. If you hit a hidden obstacle (curb, rock), the blade won’t trip – it can bend the mount or damage your machine. Consider adding an aftermarket trip kit if your driveway has hidden hazards.
