This is a set of two OEM cast-iron wheel weights (BM17976) designed to add traction and stability to select John Deere lawn tractors and zero-turn mowers. They bolt onto the rear wheels to improve grip on slopes, soft ground, or when towing.

Fitment & Compatibility

Before buying, confirm your mower’s rear wheel bolt pattern and clearance. These weights fit John Deere models with a 4-bolt, 4.5-inch diameter wheel hub pattern—common on X300, X500, and Z500 series machines. They are not compatible with most 100-series or older tractors with 3-bolt hubs. Measure your wheel center bore (must be at least 2.5 inches) and ensure the weights won’t contact the fender or frame when turning. OEM part BM17976; aftermarket versions exist but may differ in bolt hole alignment or weight distribution.
