• OEM vs aftermarket: These are genuine Husqvarna parts (part # 579-33-05-01). Aftermarket couplers often use thinner metal that corrodes faster; OEM is preferred for long-term outdoor use.
• What to check: Measure your boundary wire diameter (should be 1.3–1.5 mm / 18–22 AWG). If your wire is thicker (e.g., 14 AWG used by some older mowers), these couplers won’t fit. Also verify your mower uses a single-loop boundary wire (not a two-wire system like some EPOS models).

• Installation difficulty: Easy – strip ~8 mm of insulation from each wire end, insert into coupler, and close the metal clamp with pliers. No soldering or crimping tool needed.
• Moisture protection: The coupler has a silicone gel inside that seals the connection. Still, bury the splice or cover it with electrical tape if it will sit on wet grass for long periods.
• Signal loss: Each coupler adds a tiny resistance. Avoid using more than 3–4 on a single loop; otherwise, the mower may lose boundary signal. Plan splices for permanent repairs, not temporary fixes.
• Common gotcha: If you strip too much wire, exposed copper can short against the ground. Strip only the length of the metal slot inside the coupler (about 8 mm).
