This Husqvarna OEM mulch kit converts a 46-inch stamped steel deck on select Z 246 and TS 146X models from side-discharge or bagging to mulching. It recirculates clippings for finer cutting and natural lawn feeding.

Fitment & Compatibility

Check deck type first: Only fits Husqvarna’s 46-inch stamped steel deck—not fabricated/fab decks or 48-inch models.
Exact models: Z 246 (all variants) and TS 146X. Does not fit Z 242, Z 254, or TS 142.
OEM vs aftermarket: This is genuine Husqvarna (part number 588318101). Aftermarket kits exist (~$25–35) but often have thinner metal or looser baffle seals.
Measure before buying: Confirm your deck’s center-to-center spindle spacing is 7.5 inches. The kit includes three baffle plates, a deflector plug, and hardware—no blade set.
