This is a set of three OEM replacement blades for 50-inch Cub Cadet zero-turn and lawn tractors. Designed for mulching, bagging, and side-discharge use, it directly replaces the 490-110-C155 and older 490-110-F155 blade sets.
Fitment & Compatibility
Before buying, confirm these three things:
- Deck size must be exactly 50 inches. This set includes three blades (each ~18.5 inches long). It will not fit 46-inch or 54-inch decks.
- Model series that use this blade: Cub Cadet RZT 50, GT 2000/2550, LX 46/50, S 50, XT1/XT2 (Enduro Series), ZT1 50, ZT2 50, and Ultima ZT 50 S. Also fits some RZT S and Z-Force S models with 50-inch fabricated decks.
- OEM vs aftermarket: This is a genuine Cub Cadet OEM part (not a generic). The blade hole pattern is a standard 5-point star center hole with a 1-inch diameter. Do not assume it fits non-Cub Cadet brands—check your deck model number.
Quick check: Look under your deck for a model tag (e.g., “50A” or “50F”) or measure blade length end to end. If it’s 18.5 inches, you’re likely good.
Key Things to Know
- Quality: OEM blades are made from 5/16-inch thick, heat-treated steel. They hold an edge longer than most aftermarket options but cost more.
- Installation difficulty: Moderate. You’ll need a 15/16-inch socket and a torque wrench (spec is 70–90 ft-lbs). Always lift the deck and block it safely—do not rely on the mower’s hydraulics.
- Common gotcha: The blades are stamped with “G” (grass side) and “B” (belt side). If you install them upside down, the mower will vibrate heavily and cut poorly. Also, check that the blade sail (curved edge) faces upward toward the deck.
- Sharpening: These can be sharpened 2–3 times before replacement, but once the edge is nicked or bent, swap them out. Running dull blades strains the engine and leaves uneven cuts.
Should You Buy It
If you own a Cub Cadet with a 50-inch deck and want a guaranteed fit with no trial-and-error, this OEM set is the right choice. It’s pricier than aftermarket, but the durability and exact match save you time and frustration. Skip it only if you’re on a strict budget—then look for a high-rated aftermarket set with verified fitment for your specific model.
