• Deck size: Only fits mowers with a 21-inch cutting deck. Measure your existing blade’s length from tip to tip—must be exactly 21 inches.
• Mounting: Typically uses a center hole with a 5/8-inch diameter and a 7-point star or oval shape. Check your blade’s center hole pattern against this one.
• OEM cross-reference: May replace Husqvarna, Poulan, McCulloch, and some MTD/John Deere 21-inch blades. Verify your model number against the blade’s listed compatibility (often includes 532 40 42-01, 532 40 73-01, or similar).
• Measure before buying: Confirm blade thickness (usually 0.125–0.150 inches) and the exact hole shape—some 21-inch decks use a 4-point or 5-point star.

• Quality concerns: Low rating (3.0/5) suggests possible balance issues or premature dulling. Inspect for warping or uneven edges upon arrival.
• Installation difficulty: Easy—remove spark plug, tip mower, unbolt old blade, install new one (torque to 35–45 ft-lbs). Use a blade balancer after installation.
• Gotcha: Standard lift blades create less airflow than mulching or high-lift blades. They clog easily in wet or tall grass—stick to dry, short cuts.
• Sharpness: May arrive unsharpened or with a blunt edge. Expect to sharpen before first use for best results.

Should You Buy It

Only if you need a budget-friendly 21-inch blade for a basic push mower and you’re comfortable sharpening and balancing it yourself.
