What It Is

This is a heavy-duty butyl rubber inner tube sized 6.00-16, designed to replace worn or punctured tubes in tractor, trailer, truck, and large lawn/garden tires. It’s built for pneumatic tires that require a separate tube, not tubeless rims.

Fitment & Compatibility

Before buying, confirm your tire size is exactly 6.00-16 (not 6.50-16 or 7.00-16). Check your tire sidewall for the sizing stamp. This tube fits most 6.00-16 tires used on zero-turn mowers, garden tractors, small utility trailers, and ATV/UTVs. It has a TR15 valve stem (short, 90-degree angled, 0.625” diameter hole required in the rim). If your rim uses a straight or long valve stem, you’ll need an adapter or different tube. Measure your rim’s valve hole diameter—must be 5/8” (0.625”) for TR15 to seat properly. Not compatible with tubeless rims or split-rim assemblies.

Key Things to Know

  • Butyl rubber holds air longer than natural rubber, resists ozone cracking, and handles heat better under load.
  • Installation tip: Dust the inside of the tire with talcum powder before inserting the tube to prevent pinching.
  • Common gotcha: Over-inflating can cause the tube to bulge between tire and rim bead; stick to 30-40 PSI max (check tire sidewall).
  • Valve stem position: The TR15 is angled, so align it with the rim hole before seating the tire—don’t force it.

Should You Buy It

If you need a reliable, heavy-duty replacement tube for a 6.00-16 tire on a mower, trailer, or truck, this is a solid mid-range pick at a fair price. Skip if your rim uses a different valve stem size or if you need a tube for a tubeless tire setup.
