What It Is

This is a set of two heavy-duty metal racks that mount on a trailer or truck bed to securely transport straight-shaft weed eaters, trimmers, and weedeaters. Designed for professionals or homeowners who need to haul multiple trimmers without them shifting or falling over.

Fitment & Compatibility

  • Shaft type: Only for straight-shaft trimmers/weed eaters. Will NOT fit curved-shaft models.
  • Mounting: Requires a flat surface (trailer sidewall, truck bed rail, or utility rack) with at least 2 inches of clearance behind the mounting point. Rack width is approximately 6 inches per holder.
  • Hardware included: Comes with bolts, nuts, and washers for steel or aluminum surfaces. Not designed for plastic or thin sheet metal.
  • Brand/model: Fits most straight-shaft Weed Eater, Echo, Stihl, Husqvarna, Ryobi, and other brands with standard 1-inch diameter shafts. Check your trimmer’s shaft diameter before buying; if it’s thicker than 1.1 inches, it may not lock securely.
  • Capacity: Each rack holds one trimmer; set includes two racks. Weight capacity per rack is rated at 15 lbs.

Key Things to Know

  • Installation: Moderate difficulty. Requires drilling holes into your trailer/truck bed (drill bit not included). Measure twice, drill once – misaligned holes can’t be patched easily.
  • Locking mechanism: A spring-loaded pin locks the trimmer shaft in place. Some users report the pin can be finicky with thicker shafts; test fit before permanent mounting.
  • Rust prevention: Metal racks have a black powder-coat finish, but scratches from installation or tools can lead to rust in wet climates. Apply touch-up paint on exposed metal.
  • Vibration: At highway speeds, longer trimmers may wobble. Adding a bungee cord or strap over the head is recommended for extra security.

Should You Buy It

If you regularly haul two or more straight-shaft trimmers and want a dedicated, lockable rack that keeps them organized and damage-free, this is a solid, affordable choice. Not ideal for curved shafts or occasional single-trimmer use – a simple bungee cord setup would be cheaper and easier.
