What It Is

The ALL-CARB is an aftermarket carburetor replacement designed for small engines in walk-behind lawn mowers, typically Briggs & Stratton, Tecumseh, or Honda models. It’s a direct-fit part for engines in the 140cc–190cc range, used to fix rough idling, stalling, or hard starting caused by clogged or worn OEM carbs.

Fitment & Compatibility

Check these before buying:

  • Engine brand & model: Confirm your engine’s make and model number (stamped on the blower housing or valve cover). ALL-CARB lists compatible engines—common fits include Briggs & Stratton 12A-xxx, 12B-xxx, and Tecumseh LV195EA, but not all.
  • Carburetor type: This is a single-barrel, float-style carb. Does not fit side-draft, diaphragm, or vertical-shaft carb setups.
  • OEM vs aftermarket: It’s a universal aftermarket replacement. Gaskets, fuel line, and mounting bolts are included, but the throttle linkage may need minor adjustment for your specific engine.
  • Measurements: The mounting flange is roughly 2.5” x 1.5” (check against your old carb). The fuel inlet is 1/4” barbed—ensure your fuel line fits or have a 1/4” replacement ready.
  • Deck size irrelevant: This part fits the engine, not the mower deck. Ignore deck size.

Key Things to Know

  • Quality is decent for the price: Users report it works well for 1–2 seasons on residential mowers. Not built for commercial use or heavy debris.
  • Installation is moderate: You’ll need a screwdriver, pliers, and a small wrench. Expect to adjust the idle screw and throttle linkage to match your engine’s specific cable length—some filing or bending may be needed.
  • Common gotcha: The included gaskets are thin and may leak if the mounting surface isn’t clean. Use a thin layer of gasket sealant or buy a separate gasket kit.
  • No choke linkage included: If your mower uses a remote choke cable, you’ll need to reuse your old one or buy a separate adapter.

Should You Buy It

Buy this if you have a common Briggs or Tecumseh engine, want a low-cost fix for a non-starting or rough-running mower, and are comfortable with basic carburetor adjustment. Skip it if you need a perfect OEM fit for a newer Honda engine or want a carb that lasts beyond a season of heavy use.
