Fitment & Compatibility

• Shaft type: Only fits straight-shaft trimmers (curved shafts won’t accept the drive cable).
• Drive system: Requires a trimmer with a flexible drive cable inside the shaft—most straight-shaft models from brands like Echo, Stihl, Husqvarna, and Ryobi use this.
• Mounting: Typically uses a M10 x 1.25 left-hand thread (common standard). Measure your trimmer’s output shaft diameter and thread pitch before buying.
• OEM vs aftermarket: This is an aftermarket part. It will not match OEM blade nuts or dust covers, so you may need a separate adapter or washer kit for some brands (especially Stihl).
• Deck size: Not applicable—this attaches to the trimmer head, not a mower deck.

• Cutting capacity: Handles stems up to about 1/2-inch thick. For thicker brush, step up to a 3-tooth or 4-tooth blade.
• Installation difficulty: Moderate. You’ll need to remove the string head, install the blade and nut (often with a supplied washer), and tighten firmly—left-hand thread means “righty-loosey, lefty-tighty.” Use a blade lock or wrench.
• Safety: The blade can kick back violently on contact with rocks or roots. Always wear chaps, eye protection, and boots.
