This is a 50-inch deck drive belt made with aramid (Kevlar-like) reinforcement, sized 5/8" wide by 134" long. It transfers power from the engine pulley to the spindle blades on select MTD/Cub Cadet and Toro zero-turn and lawn tractors with 50" fabricated or stamped decks.
Fitment & Compatibility
Before buying, confirm three things:
- Deck size: Must be exactly 50 inches (not 46", 48", or 54").
- Model number: This belt replaces OEM Cub Cadet 754-04077 / 954-04077 and Toro 112-0332. It fits Cub Cadet XT1-GT50, XT1-LT50, XT2-LX50, LTX1042, LTX1045, LTX1046, LTX1046VT, and Toro GT2100, GT2200, SL500, LX500. Double-check your model tag under the seat or on the deck.
- Measurements: Verify your old belt is 5/8" wide and 134" long (use a cloth tape on the outside circumference). If it’s 133" or 135", this belt will not fit.
Note: This is an aftermarket aramid belt, not an OEM Cub Cadet part. It will work fine for most, but if you need an exact OEM match, stick with the branded part.
Key Things to Know
- Aramid construction is stronger than standard rubber/cord belts and resists stretching and heat better—good for heavy mowing or thick grass.
- Installation difficulty: Moderate. You’ll need to remove the deck (or at least the belt guard) and route the belt per your deck diagram. A belt tensioner tool or wrench helps.
- Common gotcha: The 134" length can be tight on some decks. If your old belt slides off easily, this one may require forcing the tensioner arm to its full stop. Lubricate the idler pulley if needed.
- Reviews note: A few users report slight noise initially, which usually goes away after a few minutes of running.
Should You Buy It
If you own a compatible 50" MTD, Cub Cadet, or Toro tractor and want a durable, cost-effective replacement that handles thick grass without snapping, this aramid belt is a solid buy. It’s not for decks smaller than 50" or for mowers with different belt routing. For the price, it’s better than cheap rubber belts and nearly as good as OEM.
