These are 11x4.00-5 flat-free (non-pneumatic) tires designed for the front axle of zero-turn mowers, replacing pneumatic tires that can go flat. They suit residential and light commercial mowers where puncture resistance outweighs ride comfort.
Fitment & Compatibility
- Size: 11x4.00-5 (11" outer diameter, 4" width, 5" wheel rim). Measure your existing tire’s sidewall markings—if it says 11x4.00-5, these fit the rim.
- Bearing options: Comes with 3/4", 5/8", and 1/2" inner bearings (interchangeable). Measure your axle diameter before ordering—common zero-turn front axles are 5/8" or 3/4". The 1/2" bearing is less common but included.
- Center hub: 3.4"–5.8" (adjustable). Verify your mower’s hub/pilot diameter fits within that range. Most residential zero-turns (e.g., Cub Cadet, Husqvarna, John Deere, Toro TimeCutter) use 3.5"–4.5" hubs—these should work.
- Load rating: 350 lbs per tire. Check your mower’s front axle weight (empty + operator). Most zero-turn fronts are under 300 lbs each, so this is fine.
- Not for rear drive wheels: These are non-driven, non-traction tires. Do not mount on a powered axle.
Key Things to Know
- Ride quality: Flat-free tires are stiffer than pneumatics. Expect a harsher ride on uneven lawns—not ideal for bumpy or large properties.
- Installation: No tire mounting needed—they’re a single molded unit. Just swap bearings to match your axle, slide on, and secure with the included hardware.
- Durability: The “upgraded” bearing set reduces wobble compared to budget flat-free tires, but the rubber compound may wear faster on concrete or gravel.
- Weight: Each tire is heavier than a pneumatic (approx. 8–10 lbs). This adds unsprung weight, slightly reducing maneuverability.
Should You Buy It
Buy these if you’re tired of fixing front flats on your zero-turn and mow mostly smooth lawns where ride comfort isn’t critical. Skip them if you need a cushioned ride over rough terrain or have an unusual axle size not covered by the three bearings. For the price, they’re a solid puncture-proof upgrade for typical residential zero-turn fronts.
