What It Is

This 2-pack of spindle assemblies (OEM numbers 110-6866 and 117-1192) is the replacement part for the blade-mounting hub and bearing housing on Toro Timecutter Z5000, Z5030, ZX5000 (50" deck) and Z4235, Z4200, Z4220, Z4235 (42" deck) zero-turn mowers. It also fits select LX-series lawn tractors (LX176, LX178, LX186, LX188). Each assembly includes the spindle shaft, bearings, housing, and mounting hardware—ready to bolt on.

Fitment & Compatibility

  • Deck size matters: This 2-pack fits both 50" and 42" Timecutter decks, but verify your deck model number (stamped on the deck housing). It does NOT fit 54" or 60" decks.
  • Model check: Confirmed for Timecutter Z5000, Z5030, ZX5000, Z4235, Z4200, Z4220, Z4235, plus LX176-LX188. Not compatible with other Toro series (e.g., Titan, Exmark).
  • OEM vs aftermarket: These are aftermarket replacements, not genuine Toro. They match OEM dimensions but use standard bearings—not Toro’s sealed cartridge. Check spindle shaft diameter (should be 1" with a 5/8" hex) and bolt pattern (3 bolts, 2.5" center-to-center).
  • Before buying: Remove a blade and measure the existing spindle shaft length (approx. 4.5" from housing to blade mount). If your deck uses a different shaft length or bearing type, these won’t fit.

Key Things to Know

  • Build quality: Aftermarket spindles are generally fine for residential use but may wear faster than OEM under heavy commercial mowing. The bearings are greaseable (no sealed cartridge), so plan to grease every 25 hours.
  • Installation difficulty: Moderate. You’ll need a socket set, a torque wrench (tighten spindle bolts to 35-40 ft-lbs), and a jack to lift the deck. Expect 1-2 hours per spindle.
  • Common gotchas: The included bolts may be slightly soft—reuse your original Toro bolts if possible. Also, the spindle housing can crack if overtightened; hand-tighten then torque in a star pattern.
  • Two-pack value: Buying a pair is cheaper than two singles, and you’ll likely need to replace both at the same time if one has failed (uneven wear).

Should You Buy It

If you own a Toro Timecutter with a 42" or 50" deck (or one of the listed LX tractors) and need a budget-friendly spindle replacement for home use, this 2-pack is a solid choice. It’s not built for commercial duty, but for the price, it’ll get your deck spinning smoothly for a season or two. Skip it if you need OEM-grade longevity or have a different deck size.
