What It Is

A pack of 100 plastic or metal ground pegs designed to secure robotic lawnmower boundary wires to the lawn. These are for DIY installation of perimeter cables in any robotic mower that uses a buried or surface-laid wire.

Fitment & Compatibility

  • Wire gauge: Fits standard 18–22 AWG boundary cable (most common for Worx, Gardena, Husqvarna, Robomow, etc.). Check your mower’s manual for wire diameter – if it’s thicker than 3mm, these may not hold.
  • Installation type: For surface or shallow-buried wire only. Not for deep burial or hard soil.
  • Brand compatibility: Universal – works with any brand that uses a single-loop boundary wire (Worx Landroid, Gardena Sileno, Husqvarna Automower, etc.). Not compatible with dual-wire or multi-zone systems without additional connectors.
  • Measurement: Each peg is roughly 2–3 inches long. Check that your soil is soft enough to push them in by hand. Rocky or clay-heavy ground may require pre-drilling or heavier stakes.

Key Things to Know

  • Quality varies: At this price point, pegs are often thin plastic that can snap in cold weather or on rocky soil. Metal versions are more durable but may rust over time.
  • Installation difficulty: Easy – just push into ground over the wire. Space every 2–3 feet on straight runs, closer on curves. Avoid driving over them with the mower.
  • Common gotcha: If you use a wire that’s too thick (e.g., 14 AWG), these pegs won’t hold it. Also, they won’t work on hard-packed dirt or gravel without a mallet or pre-drilling.
  • Quantity: 100 pieces is enough for a typical 500–800 sq ft lawn. For larger yards (over 1,000 sq ft), you may need two packs.

Should You Buy It

If you’re installing a new boundary wire on soft-to-moderate soil and want a cheap, no-fuss solution, this pack works for basic setups. But if you have rocky ground, heavy clay, or need long-term durability, invest in metal or heavy-duty stakes instead.
