What It Is

This is a 1/2" x 89" aramid-reinforced drive belt that transfers power from the engine pulley to the mower deck on select John Deere and Husqvarna lawn tractors. It’s designed for residential mowing on flat to moderate terrain, not heavy commercial use.

Fitment & Compatibility

Before buying, verify three things:

  • Deck size: Fits 42" to 54" decks on listed models (check your deck’s serial tag).
  • Model cross-reference: Works with John Deere 105, 155C, D110, D125, D140, D170, L110, L111, L118, L120, L130, LA110, LA115, LA120, LA130, LA135, LA145A and Husqvarna 532124525-equipped machines. Not all L-series use the same belt—confirm your model’s OEM number.
  • Measurements: 1/2" width x 89" outside length. Measure your old belt’s length (lay flat, measure end-to-end) and width. A 1/2" belt won’t fit a 3/8" pulley groove.

OEM vs aftermarket: This is a Husqvarna-branded belt, not a generic. It matches OEM specs for both brands listed.

Key Things to Know

  • Quality: Aramid (Kevlar-like) cord gives better heat resistance and less stretch than standard rubber belts. Expect 2-3 seasons under normal use.
  • Installation: Moderate difficulty. You’ll need to remove the deck belt guard and possibly loosen the idler pulley. Watch for belt routing diagrams under the deck or in your manual.
  • Common gotcha: On John Deere D-series, the deck belt is separate from this drive belt. This replaces the drive belt (engine to deck), not the blade belt.
  • Stretch: New belts may need re-tensioning after 2-3 hours of use. Check for slipping or squealing.

Should You Buy It

If you have one of the listed John Deere or Husqvarna models and need a reliable, OEM-spec drive belt without paying dealer markup, this is a solid value. Skip it if you need a blade belt or have a commercial zero-turn—those require heavier-duty belts.
