What It Is

This is a 1/2" x 141.5" mower deck V-belt designed for 50" cutting decks on select Toro TimeCutter zero-turn mowers and John Deere lawn tractors. It drives the blades and spindles, and the aramid construction offers higher heat and wear resistance than standard rubber belts.

Fitment & Compatibility

  • Toro models: TimeCutter SS5000, SS5060, MX5000, MX5060 (model numbers 75750, 75755, 74630, 74361). Also supersedes OEM part 119-8820-SL.
  • John Deere models: D140, D150, D160, L120, L130, LA145 (OEM part GX21833 or GX20571).
  • Measurements: 1/2" width, 141.5" effective length. Always measure your old belt first—if it’s worn or stretched, compare against a new one before installing. This belt will not fit 42" or 54" decks.
  • OEM vs aftermarket: This is a replacement belt, not genuine Toro or Deere. Check that your deck uses a single belt (not a dual-belt system) and that the belt routing matches the 50" deck diagram.

Key Things to Know

  • Aramid fiber construction runs cooler and lasts longer than standard rubber belts, especially under heavy grass or hot conditions.
  • Installation is moderate—you’ll need to release the idler pulley tension and route the belt around spindles and guides. A belt removal tool or pry bar helps.
  • Common gotcha: The belt can flip if not seated evenly on all pulleys. Double-check that the V-side faces downward into each pulley groove.
  • Break-in period: New belts may stretch slightly in the first hour; re-tension after 1–2 uses if your deck has an adjustable idler.

Should You Buy It

If you own a Toro TimeCutter 50" or a compatible John Deere lawn tractor and want a durable, heat-resistant belt at a lower price than OEM, this is a solid choice. It’s not for non-50" decks or older models with different belt lengths. For the price, it’s a reliable replacement that often outlasts standard rubber belts.
